Counselling is generally problem focused talking therapy, aimed at supporting you when dealing with specific day to day difficulties.  This work is often shorter term.

Psychotherapy can help you identify the roots of problems and difficulties that have built up over time.  This work is generally longer term and addresses difficulties at a deeper level.

Our working hours are : Weekdays: 9am to 9pm  and Saturdays:  9am to 1pm

There are no client sessions on Tuesday between 10am and 1pm, to allow our therapists to attend clinical supervision.

Our Therapists

Around 50% of our therapists are fully qualified and experienced.  The remaining therapists are on placement, in the process of completing their training on a course recognised by one of the main professional bodies; UKCP, BACP, or BPS

All therapists work on a voluntary basis in order to keep our fees affordable.  A small group of our qualified and experienced therapists offer private sessions alongside their voluntary work.

The work of all of our therapists is monitored and supported through fortnightly supervision.

Our team our trained in a number of theoretical models of practice including:

  • CBT
  • humanistic
  • integrative
  • person-centred
  • psychodynamic
  • psychosynthesis
  • transpersonal

The work of each therapist will reflect both their school of training and their personality.

RCPS Therapists are all members of relevant professional bodies such as BACP, BPS and UKCP.  The management team are all accredited psychotherapists.

RCPS sessions are reserved for clients who could not otherwise afford therapy.  A number of our qualified therapists also work in private practice, both online and face to face.  Fees start from £60 per session.  If interested, please ask Maria.

All of our therapists are insured and DBS checked
