- RCPS welcomes applications from trainees who are attending approved or accredited training courses and looking for clinical placements.
- Trainees must be DBS checked and have relevant insurance.
- We can offer trainees up to 3 clients and the work will generally be open-ended. As such we ask for a commitment to the service of at least 2 years.
- Previous clinical experience, while desirable, is not essential.
- Trainees must be available on Tuesday mornings to attend group supervision. There is no charge for this. Our supervision groups are generally a mix of qualified, experienced therapists and trainees. An Tuesday evening session may be added in the near future.
- CPD sessions are also offered, when possible, to all RCPS therapists.
- Interviews take place throughout the year, initially in small groups and then individually if necessary.
- If offered a place there will then be an induction and participation in group supervision while waiting to be allocated your first client.
