My experience began with managing a Community Mental Health Home in Surbiton, after which I joined the Star and Garter Home in Richmond under the medical team for nine years as a therapist.
I took over running the RCPS in 1994. As well as seeing clients, my role includes client assessments, supervising the therapists, interviewing therapists for placements and dealing with the finances and administration of the service.
Therapy is a place where you unravel, then try to make sense of what feels overwhelming and puzzling.
It is a space where you can re-think the narrative you are accustomed to using. I invite you to this transitional space to determine what is valuable to you.
I like to integrate various theoretical approaches. I originally used transpersonal and humanistic, broadly exploratory, talking therapy. Lately I have carried out some short-term focused work and EMDR.
My private practice is located in Oxshott, KT22. I also see clients at RCPS in Richmond
I have been running supervision groups, since 1994. My approach is an integration of psychodynamic and humanistic thinking, incorporating short-term theories such as brief solution focused therapy, human givens, and cognitive behavioural.
The groups are supervisor led, with input from all involved, with a key focus on clinical material. It also includes self-development and support.
The aim of group supervision is to provide an ethical frame for therapists where they can explore their work in a nourishing environment alongside peers who share a similar calibre of knowledge and vibrancy.
My intention is to create a group of open-minded, experienced and resourceful therapists who will enrich their work through regular contact.
The supervision complies with the ethical requirements for supervision from our regulatory professional bodies.
I offer regular individual weekly therapy sessions and/or supervision sessions from £70 per hour. The fee will be discussed and negotiated at the initial session.
Group supervision sessions costs £30 per two hour session.
